Several areas in Colombo isolated  Featured

The National Operations Centre for Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) has confirmed that restrictions imposed on persons leaving the Western Province to other regions, will be lifted at midnight tomorrow (15).

A media release issued by the Government Information Department in this regard announces several updates on isolation areas as well.

According to the media release, the police areas of Maradana, Fort, Pettah, Slave Island and Dam Street will be isolated from 5.00am on Monday (16).

In the Gampaha District, the isolated status will be lifted from all isolated areas except for the police areas of Negombo, Ja-Ela, Ragama, Kadawatha, Wattala and Peliyagoda.

In addition, the Kelaniya police area will be declared as isolated from 5.00am on Monday (16).

Also, the isolated status imposed in the following areas will be lifted from 5.00am tomorrow (15).

  • Kurunegala District : Kurunegala MC limits, Kuliyapitiya Police area
  • Kalutara District : Horana Police area, Ingiriya Police area, Wekada-West GS area
  • Kegalle District : Ruwanwella Police area, Mawanella Police area
