Engineering Corps urged to sell raffle tickets amid Covid-19 wave

It is reported that the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Engineers have been inconvenienced after they were tasked with selling a lottery.

Tickets for the SAPPERS' Super Draw are priced at Rs. 100 each and one soldier is required to sell 40 tickets, reports say.

It is also reported that the corps have been ordered to sell all 40 tickets.

The lottery is to be drawn on Nov. 28 at the SAPPERS' Leisure Bay premises in Maththegoda.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, soldiers are seemingly finding it hard to sell off the tickets and are therefore compelled to pay for all 40 tickets out of their own pockets, reports further say.
