Audit reports of state institutions vanish !

Although there are about 330 state institutions in operation in the country, only 52 state institutions have submitted financial reports to Parliament for the year 2020, says Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Champika Ranawaka.

Although those 52 companies made profits during the previous good governance administration, 11 of them have reported huge financial losses under the present government, he said.

The loss is about Rs.15.567 million, he said.

Accordingly Ranawaka says that the losses have been incurred by Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC Bank), Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board (AAIB), Airport and Aviation of Sri Lanka (AASL), Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation, Lanka Mineral Sands, Kahatagaha Graphite Lanka, Laksala, State Timber Corporation and Ceylon Fisheries Corporation.
