Reports of airlifting food for PM's son, false! Featured

Army commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva has vehemently denied reports claiming that the Prime Minister's youngest son - Rohitha Rajapaksa has contracted Covid-19 and measures being taken to airlift food for him from Colombo.

Reports further say that Rohitha and his family are currently staying at the Presidential House in Kandy, in order to maintain social distancing and a SLAF craft is taking them food from Colombo on a daily basis.

SLAF media spokesman Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe has also said SLAF craft are not deployed for such purposes.

In a Facebook post, former Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia mayor - Danasiri Amaratunga has criticized these reports.
