All three former ministers have so far represented other parties in alliance with the SJB.
The national committee of the SJB which is scheduled to meet at Bandarawela over the weekend ( 19 Dec ) is planning to approve the party's constitution, General Secretary Madduma Bandara has further told the media.
Meanwhile, the Anidda newspaper states that a member of the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) has stated that the group including Champika who left the party will not join SJB.
It is also said that the group will function in the future as a civil force and not a political party.
Champika to seize power in Sajith's party?
Meanwhile, the Ravaya weekend newspaper has reported that Champika Ranawaka and a group have launched a strategic mission to seize power of SJB.
It further reports that the leading figures of SJB such as Tissa Attanayake also support this mission.
Accordingly, it is said that Champika will be appointed as the Vice President of the party when the new constitution is approved on 19.
