2nd Covid-19 escapee from Gallella nabbed in Chilaw

A second individual who had recently fled from the Gallella Covid-19 facility in Polonnaruwa, has been nabbed from Bangadeniya, Chilaw.

The 52-year-old is a resident of Waikkal, Wennappuwa.

Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said another individual has been arrested for harbouring the infected person.

Five persons tested positive had recently escaped from the facility and three are still at large.
