Infections from 2nd Covid-19 wave pass 50,000 Featured

Infections from the second wave of Covid-19 which was initially discovered from the Brandix Minuwangoda factory, has passed the 50,000 mark today (19).

According to the Government Information Department, the total number of Covid-19 patients reported from Divulapitiya and Peliyagoda Covid-19 clusters as at Jan. 19, 2021, stands at 50,561.

A total of 669 cases were found today, according to the Epidemiology Unit, pushing the total number of infections to 54,419.
