Colombo Oxygen levels decline Featured

The level of Oxygen in the city of Colombo has shown a gradual decline compared to the city's population, says the Ministry of environment.

The ministry's revelation comes after a scientific research done by the ministry.Accordingly, the ministry together with Colombo Municipal COuncil have begun a program to prevent the air pollution in the city.

The issue has been discussed at a discussion attended by Environment Minister Mahinda Amaraweera and Colombo Mayor Rosy Senananayaka.

Senanayaka has sought the assistance of the ministry to check the level of oxygen on a daily basis and also the technical know-how to preserve the environment and minimise the air pollution within the Colombo city.
