22 foreign tourists have been hospitalised after a wasp attack at the historic Sigiriya rock fortress.
The incident had occurred after a part of a wasp hive had collapsed due to high wind conditions.
The site, which was temporarily closed before the situation was brought under control, has now been reopened.
