GMOA suggests COVID patients to be treated at homes

GMOA has drawn the attention of the government to implement a system to treat COVID-19 patients at their homes, amid the rapid spike of the positive cases across the country.

GMOA's Assistant Secretary Dr. Naveen de Zoysa said treating COVID-19 patients while keeping them at homes is the method followed by many countries across the world.

He suggested that Sri Lanka too should treat patients at homes under the supervision of the PHIs and doctors in the particular area.

However, if the patient develops symptoms such as cough, fever and pneumonia, then such patients should go to a hospital for treatment.
