Discussion at Temple Trees over a possible lockdown

Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa has instructed officials to be prepared for a complete or a partial lockdown of 75% in the wake of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, 'Neth News' reports.
This was stated during a discussion held at Temple Trees this afternoon (09), it adds.
Mr. Rajapaksa chairs the Presidential Task Force to Coordinate and Monitor the Delivery of Continuous Services for the Sustenance of Overall Community Life.

It is reported that the heads of essential service providers had been summoned for the discussion.

It had been pointed out that only travel restrictions, not curfew, will be imposed in the future.

It had been discussed at length how to continue essential services in such a situation.
