COVID-19 : 2,624 cases & 26 deaths Featured

Yesterday (10), Sri Lanka's daily COVID-19 caseload passed the 2,500 mark for the second day running.

According to the situation report of the Epidemiology Unit issued at 11.00pm yesterday, the 2,624 cases were detected within the day, while the total number of infections has increased to 128,530.

The report adds that there are 22,118 patients under medical care and 105,611 recoveries at the moment.

Meanwhile, health authorities have also confirmed 26 COVID-19 deaths yesterday.

The latest patients to succumb to COVID-19 are from the areas of Galle, Hettipola, Pallewela, Kandy, Mathugama, Padukka, Nebada, Jaffna, Meegahagoda, Kalutara, Akuressa ,Moronthuduwa, Anuradhapura, Colombo 06, Kaluaggala, Moratuwa, Malwana, Borella, Colombo 15, Kandana, Maswela, Waththegama and Malabe.

Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 fatalities is at 827.
