12 parties to breathe life again to UPFA

Around 12 political parties have reportedly agreed to rebuild the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
 
According to the 'Deshaya' newspaper, 40 out of 49 civil society organizations that worked to bring forward Maithripala Sirisena as the common candidate, have already agreed to this.
 
However, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to empower not only the UPFA but also the People's Alliance (PA).
