Police assault spa manager for refusing free service

The Thalangama Police had arrested 04 persons, including two officers of the Kahathuduwa Police, yesterday (25) for allegedly brutally assaulting the manager of a massage parlor in the Thalangama area for refusing them free access to beautiful girls.

The four suspects were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court yesterday (25) and released on Rs. 1 million bail each.

Investigations have revealed that four persons, including a Kahathuduwa Police Constable and a Constable driver, had forcibly entered a massage parlor in the Thalangama area on the 24th. They had shown their police IDs and demanded the services of beautiful girls free of charge.

However, the manager of the Spa had refused them which led to an argument and the policemen had brutally assaulted the manager and fled in the van they had arrived in.

The manager of the massage parlor had lodged a complaint with the Kottawa Police and the four suspects had been arrested and handed over to the Thalangama Police.

The Police Department is conducting a separate investigation against the two police officers involved in the incident.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Thalangama Police.
