Modi decides to meet Sampanthan!

Prime Minister of India - Narendra Modi who had not given an appointment to meet visiting Sri Lankan minister of Finance - Basil Rajapaksa, has given an appointment for the leader of the Tamil National Alliance R. Sampanthan, reports say.

Accordingly, the Indian PM has informed Mr. Sampanthan to arrive at New Delhi for talks next week.

However, Mr. Sampanthan had requested Mr. Modi to postpone as the wedding of his delegation member Suresh Premachandran's son is to be held next week.

It is said that the Indian PM has agreed to postpone the meeting for a week.

According to political sources, the meeting will be held in another two weeks and will discuss a number of crucial issues regarding Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, it is learned that the son of Suresh Premachandran is to be wed to the daughter of the slain Tamil MP - Nadaraja Raviraj.
