Bhanu, Matheesha in ODI and T-20 Squads ^Featured

The hard-hitting stroke maker Bhanuka Rajapaksa and 19-year-old all-rounder Dunith Wellalage have been included in the provincial ODI and T-20 squads in order to prepare for the forthcoming Australia cricket series of Sri Lanka which will commence on June 07.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa who was not included for the recent ODI and T-20 series due to fitness failure has been recalled for the ODI and T-20 26 member squad while National under 19 skipper Dunith Wellalalge is included in the Provisional squads. Rajapaksa is presently involved with the ongoing IPL tournament while Wellalage is in England for the Emerging cricket series.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old paceman Matheesha Pathirana who is in India for the IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings for the first time has been selected for the provincial T-20 squad. Two senior players Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal considered only for the 24-member provincial squad. Dimuth Karunaratne will lead the Test squad while Dasun Shanaka will lead the ODI and T-20 squad.
