Police found a stock of 1000 liters of diesel stored in two 500 liter water tanks and 400 liters of diesel stored in two 200 liter barrels.

The 500 liter diesel was stored in a plastic water tank in the upstair section of his house, police said.

The police raid was carried out on a tip off received by Inspector Sumith Jayasinghe that fuel was being sold at a higher price in this businessman’s house.

The arrested suspect is scheduled to be produced in the Homagama courts.
