The Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that these video tapes will be used to initiate legal charges against such persons creating violence at fuel stations.
He also noted that legal measures have been initiated against 675 persons during island-wide raids to nab those hoarding fuel illegally.
According to the police media spokesman, 670 such raids had been carried out throughout the island during the past several days.
During these raids, 21,636 liters of petrol, 33,462 liters of diesel and 11,100 liters of kerosene had been seized.
The police media spokesman also noted that these raids would continue throughout the country.
