The Election Commission has revealed that three Presidential candidates have failed to submit election expenditure reports as the deadline to do so ended at midnight yesterday (Oct. 13).
According to a media release issued by the Election Commission, Ven. Battaramulle Seelarathana Thera, former MP Sarath Keerthirathna and Tamil common candidate Pakkiyaselvam Ariyanenthiran have failed to meet the deadline.
According to the Election Expenses Regulation Act, reports must be submitted within 21 days of an election’s conclusion.
