UNP ministers called for emergency meeting!

The Prime Minister had summoned all Cabinet Ministers representing the UNP for a special discussion at Temple Trees today (21).

When inquired about this meeting, Minister Gayantha Karunatillake said the meeting is scheduled to be held at 9 pm today.

Meanwhile President Maithripala Sirisena had notified all Ministers to be present at the Presidential Secretariat at 8.30 am tomorrow.

Accordingly, all Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers and State Ministers have thus been called for the meeting at the Presidential Secretariat.

Some UNP ministers are disgruntled over the Cabinet reshuffle and the Finance Minister had already told media that he is not willing to accept any other ministry other than the Finance Ministry.

Unimaginable change tomorrow:

Meanwhile, SLFP General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said tomorrow’s Cabinet change will be one that is unimaginable.

He said this to the media in Angunakolapelessa today.

“The President has summoned all Ministers in order to discuss the party’s future plans as well as the government’s future plans and many other issues. It is the President’s intention to unite all these factions in order to bring stability to the party. Well the public will be able to see what happens tomorrow through the newspapers the following day,” he said.
