Date fixed for Basil’s case

The case against former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and the former Director General of the Divi Neguma Development Department, Kithsiri Ranawaka has been fixed for hearing on a daily basis from November 13. This was decided in Court today.

This was decided when the case against the two over the printing of 5 million ‘Lith’ calendars bearing the picture of former President Mahinda Rajapaks spending Rs. 29.4 million funds belonging to the Divineguma Department during the last Presidential election was taken up before High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunge.

Further summons were issued to the witnesses listed from one to five in the complaint to be present in Court on that day.
