Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L. Rathnayake announced that 39 out of the 40 candidates who placed bonds to contest the 2024 Presidential Election have submitted their nominations.
He made this statement while addressing those present at the Election Secretariat for the nomination submissions.
The submission process, which began at 9:00 a.m., will conclude at 11:00 a.m. today.
One remaining candidate is expected to submit their nomination shortly.
