4 students remanded over assaulting teacher (Video)
Four school students who were arrested for assaulting a school teacher in Puttalam remanded until May 26, reports say.
A group of students who had gone to the school to obtain the admission for the GCE O/Ls and the teacher in charge of discipline had urged reprimanded them for coming to the school unshaven and with uncut hair.
Police say that the students had assaulted the teacher and pelted his house with stones before tearing up books and causing a commotion.
