The Delft Police have launched Investigations after two men and three women residing in a house near the Delft jetty were attacked with sharp weapons and brutally murdered in the same house.
Police said another woman in a serious condition was also admitted to the Jaffna Hospital for treatment.
Current investigations have revealed that the deceased men and women are elderly and are relatives.
No information regarding the cause for the murders or the suspects has been revealed so far and the Delft Police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
