CID wants ex-JMO cited as third suspect in Thajudeen murder case Featured

The CID has asked Colombo chief magistrate Jeyaram Trotsky for a warrant for the arrest of former Colombo JMO Dr. Ananda Samarasekara, as the third suspect in the case pertaining to the murder of rugger player Wasim Thajudeen.

Making submissions to the court, the CID said Dr. Samarasekara had altered and destroyed evidence while performing the postmortem examination on Thajudeen’s body.

Ex-JMO threatened his juniors

He has threatened his juniors Sriyantha Amararatne and K.C. Rajaguru and had submitted to court a report that concealed the truth, according to the CID.

Also, he had removed body parts and without informing Thajudeen’s relatives about it, had handed his body over to them.
