57 individuals including Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) convenor Wasantha Mudalige, have been placed behind bars on remand until February 27.
They were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court today (Feb 24).
They were arrested for forcibly entering the Education Ministry premises yesterday.
According to reports, over 200 police personnel were deployed at the court premises.
