The case involving 06 suspects including former ministers Mervyn Silva and Prasanna Ranaweera, over the illegal sale of a state-owned land in the Kiribathgoda area using forged deeds, was taken up at the Mahara Magistrate’s Court today (May 26).
The proceedings were held online before Magistrate Kanchana N. Silva.
After reviewing the submissions, Magistrate Silva ordered that all six suspects currently in remand custody, to be further remanded until June 09.
The court also rejected the bail application filed on behalf of MP Prasanna Ranaweera.
