Seven fishermen were sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court today (24) after being found guilty for hijacking a fishing boat and killing three fishermen off the southern coast in 2012.
The fishermen had set out to sea from Tangalle.
Two fishermen had jumped into the sea and escaped.
