The consumer has a right to safely prepared food and also to observe the cooking process, said its president Asela Sampath at a media briefing in Colombo yesterday (27)

The association asks authorities to enforce the law against those who prepare unwholesome food.

It also requests that instead of giving tabs and insurance covers for schoolchildren, the government should modernize all school canteens.
