A total of 75 persons have been arrested so far this year pertaining to investigations done on cyber crimes in Sri Lanka, the Police states
SSP W.P. Jayanethsiri of the Computer Crimes Investigation Division of the Sri Lanka Police has said that the Division has received 1,817 complaints on cyber crimes in 2023 so far.
He also said that there were also 108 incidents of financial scams done over social media advertisements.
The division further notes that they have received over 9,000 complaints in the past 2 1/2 years.
