Mahinda yet to agree for no-faith motion against Ranil! Featured

Ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa is yet to agree for the no-confidence motion that is to be moved against prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, say reliable political sources.

Mahinda as well as SLPP national organizer Basil Rajapaksa are stressing that rather than acting against the PM, they should focus on uniting all anti-government forces to demand the holding of the provincial council election.

Meanwhile, Divaina reports that collecting signatures for the no-confidence motion against Ranil will commence today (16).

Meeting two days ago at Mahinda’s official residence in Colombo, leaders of SLPP affiliate parties decided to handover the motion to the speaker on the 21st or the 2nd of March, and entrusted a team of MPs with the task of obtaining other parties’ support for same.

Quoting a JO MP, the newspaper adds that the motion would be a 14-point one.
