Nine people have been arrested for beating a 22-year-old to death in Hanguranketha, Sri Lanka Police say.
Earlier, Police were compelled to fired into the air to disperse a group of protesters who attempted toforcefully enter the Haguranketha Police Station, demanding the arrest of former SLPP Pradeshiya Sabha member – Anura Hewamanna over the killing.
