90 HIV-positive people detected in November

The National STD/AIDS Control Programme (NSACP) said 568 HIV-positive people have been diagnosed so far this year and 90 people were detected in November.

NSACP Director Dr. Rasanjali Hettiarachchi said the detection of infected people has increased with the introduction of HIV self-testing kits.

HIV self-testing kits are available from STD clinics all over the country and those who do not wish to visit clinics can order a kit at home through the website.
