Do it in good faith, Fonseka advises (video) Featured

Curbing the underworld is no easy task, which should be done in good faith, says wildlife minister Sarath Fonseka.

He was speaking to the media during a visit to look into the human-elephant conflict at Bakamuna and Dambulla areas yesterday (09).

According to him, repressing the innocents should not happen when curbing the underworld.

Police should go about doing it in good faith, he advised.

Fonseka wished law and order minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara and his deputy good luck in their jobs and promised them his support only if they did it with honesty.

However, there have been allegations that Fonseka had been having close connections with the underworld leader known as Ice Manju, who was killed when the minister was abroad.
