The tuition master had been threatening the student over the phone and the family members of the student had lodged a complaint with the Moronthuduwa Police regarding the matter.
The student attending a school on the Bandaragama area had passed her O/L examination and during that time she had been attending tuition classes under the said tuition master.
Later the tuition master had organized classes for the students when they entered the A/L class and while he had allocated a date for the classes for the other students, he had allocated a separate date for the 19-year-old student alone. When she had attended the class, he had taken her into a room and sexually molested her.
According to the complaint lodged by the parents, he had been threatening the student that he had recorded the whole incident and sexually exploited her on several other occasions as well. When the student had dropped out of the tuition class, he had been calling her and threatening to release the video footage on the internet.
As soon as the complaint was lodged at the Moronthuduwa police, together with the Bandaragama Police measures had been taken to arrest the tuition master and produce him in court.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Moronthuduwa Police Crimes Division.
