An advisory for heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas was issued for naval and multi-day fishermen communities in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
As per the warning, very strong winds of 70-80 kmph, and very rough seas are likely over Arabian Sea area (in sea areas bounded by (10N – 18N) and (55E – 75E)) and Bay of Bengal (in sea areas bounded by (15N – 20N) and (84E – 91E)) due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.
Naval and fishing communities are also requested to be attentive in this regard.
