The Department of Government Printing states that initial work required to print ballot papers for the upcoming Local Government (LG) elections is currently underway.
The Government Printer Gangani Liyanage mentioned that the initial proceedings including inspections related to the printing, are expected to be completed soon.
She adds that typos and other errors will be re-examined by the Election Commission for accuracy before printing commences.
Other documents related to the LG polls are already being printed, Mrs. Liyanage adds.
