The Examinations Department will announce when the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination will commence again after assessing the weather situation after November 29, Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Sampath Thuyacontha said.
Speaking at a media conference today (Nov. 27) at the Government Information Department, he said the Meteorology Department has forecast that rainy and windy conditions will reduce after Nov. 29 and therefore, the assessment will be done afterwards.
He also pointed out that students in flood affected areas must be given ample time to settle down after the weather improved.
The Examinations Department yesterday suspended the 2024 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations on November 27, 28 and 29 due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
