A man who was travelling in a three-wheeler was killed and his wife was injured in a shooting that took place this morning (24) near the Polduwa Temple in Thalpe, Habaraduwa, the Habaraduwa Police said.
The victim was a 38-year-old resident of Heenatigala, Thalpe.
He was returning home with the wife in the three-wheeler after dropping their two kids at the school when two people on a motorcycle fired shots at them.
The deceased’s wife, who was also injured in the shooting, was admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
