Anti-Terrorism Bill to be tabled in Parliament this week, says Dr. Wijeyadasa

Minister of Justice Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, PC said that the Anti-Terrorism Bill is to be tabled in Parliament this week.

The Minister of Justice said that he expects to present the Bill to the Parliament for the first reading on Wednesday, the 26th. He added that the anti-corruption bill will be submitted to Parliament in the month of May.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party says that a committee was appointed to study the Anti-Terrorism Bill. The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Attorney Dayasiri Jayasekara, says that his party will take future decisions regarding the Anti-Terrorism Bill after considering the facts presented by the relevant committee.
