The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) organised a brief ceremony to felicitate its past President Sujeewa Nelson for the service rendered during her tenure of office.
The event which was graced by current ASVU President Janaki Liyanage was held in Colombo recently. Ms. Nelson was warmly received by Ms. Liyanage and other members of the ASVU Executive Board.
Following the keynote speech delivered by ASVU Secretary Dhanusha Weerasuriya, a video documentary was played showcasing the series of welfare projects that were carried out during the office of the past President.
ASVU President Liyanage presented a token of appreciation to Ms.Nelson after a brief speech that praised her for the roles she performed during her office.
The chairpersons of all Regimental Seva Vanitha Branches, Project Officers and ASVU members were also present.
