A 34-year-old man who was suffering from burns sustained after a house was set on fire during a birthday party in Thonikkal, Vavuniya, has succumbed to injuries.
The deceased is the husband of the woman who died earlier in the same incident that took place in the early hours of July 23.
A woman was killed and nine others were injured when a group of people set fire to a house in Thonikkal, Vavuniya during a birthday party.
The man who is a resident of Omanthai was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Jaffna and passed away yesterday morning (26).
It was reported that several others who were injured in the fire are being treated at the Vavuniya Hospital.
The Vavuniya Police is conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects who committed the crime.
