A video where adviser to the President on Parliamentary Affairs – Prof. Ashu Marasinghe extending his unconditional apology to the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka – Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, has been making rounds on social media.
In the video, Prof. Marasinghe has expressed his regret and said his recent statement on the CBSL Governor was false.
During a recent programme on the Independent Television Network (ITN) last week, Dr. Marasinghe had alleged that Dr. Weerasinghe was preparing to become the next presidential candidate and that the latter had already commenced the necessary propaganda activities in this regard.
