The 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS2024) has been proposed to be held in Colombo for five days between October and November 2024, and the proposal presented by the Tourism and Lands Minister to hold the conference in the country has been approved by the Cabinet.
Taking into account the importance of Remote Sensing Technology in national development, the countries of the Asia-Pacific established the Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS) in which Sri Lanka is also a founding member.
