The Colombo Fort Police has arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly attempting to abduct a seven-year-old girl who had visited the Galle Face Green with her parents.
Police said that when the suspect tried to abduct the girl and run away, the girl’s parents had screamed for help.
The suspect, a resident of Udupusellawa, was caught and handed over to the Colombo Fort Police.
