The examination certificates requested from the Examinations Department for the authentication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be issued online to the applicants from today (07).
The Department of Examinations said that this system will be applicable to the GCE O/L and A/L examinations held since 2001 and that it is not necessary to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain the certificates.
Instead of a hard copy of the certificate, a digital copy certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be sent to the applicant’s email address and the applicant will be informed about this process by text messages from the time the request is made to the Examinations Department.
This certificate can be verified online by the external parties as well, and that facility will be provided through the ‘issued online certificate’ option on the certificate@doenets.lk website.
