Indian High Commissioner in Colombo – Santosh Jha yesterday (13) met with founder of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna – Basil Rajapaksa.
They had exchanged views on bilateral relations, political developments and other subjects of mutual interest.
Speaking recently to media, Mr. Rajapaksa had said that the SLPP was gearing up for the upcoming elections.
Ahead of his meeting with the Indian ambassador, Mr. Rajapaksa had also met President Ranil Wickremesinghe and reports say that no final decision was reached.
