Leader of the House – Minister Bimal Rathnayake today (April 10) emphasized that legal action will be sought against all those held responsible in the ‘Batalanda’ Commission report, including former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Speaking during the first day of the parliamentary debate on the ‘Batalanda’ Commission report, the minister said international support will be sought, if necessary.
Meanwhile, the House agreed to continue the debate on a future date. The second day of the debate will be scheduled for an upcoming parliamentary session.
Parliament is scheduled to convene again on May 08.
