Bribery Commission receives over 1,800 complaints in 2022

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has received 1,861 complaints as of October 31, 2022.

The highest number of complaints have been received regarding bribery and corruption which is 620.

In addition to this, the Commission said it has received 64 complaints over corruption and irregularities related to assets and added that it has conducted about 50 raids related to the complaints received.

The Commission has called for reports at the institutional level regarding 72 complaints and another 328 complaints have been referred to other institutions for further investigation.

A spokesperson of the Commission said that investigations of 719 complaints have been suspended from investigation since they do not fall under the Bribery Act .
