The voting on the Second Reading of 2024 Appropriation Bill is scheduled to be held today evening (Nov.21).
The budgetary proposals for the fiscal year 2024 were presented to Parliament by President Ranil Wickremesinghe on November 13, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization & National Policies.
Following today’s vote, the Committee Stage or the Third Reading debate will be held for 19 days from tomorrow (Nov.22) until December.13 before the vote on the Third Reading of Budget 2024 is to be held at 6:00 p.m. on December 13.
